Krewe of Carnivale en Rio

YES, we are now accepting applications for membership for 2009-2010.You don’t have to be a royal or Brazilian to be a member of this krewe…all you need is the Brazilian espirito!

Membership in the krewe gives our members full participation in the krewe's four (4) main activities: the Brazilian Sambada (Aug '09), the Rio Ball (Jan '10), the Rio Parada (Feb '10), and our new "fantastico" Spring Rodizio !!!!

We offer a COUPLE MEMBERSHIP for $450. A single person may join the krewe by purchasing a COUPLE MEMBERSHIP. This would entitle the single person to bring one other person to all three functions. There is a one-time Initiation Fee of $200 per couple membership for new members entering the krewe. Therefore, if you are renewing your COUPLE MEMBERSHIP this year, your fee is $450. The fee for a new COUPLE MEMBERSHIP is $650.

The Parada Rider Fee is included in your dues. If you prefer not to ride, you may have someone take your place(s). A COUPLE MEMBERSHIP entitles you to two slots on a float. In addition to your dues, each rider must make a one-time purchase of the official costume of his/her float. Each rider is also responsible for purchasing his/her own throws, available through the krewe.
